The next generation of Old Granada Studios will feature four distinct areas including: Cube space Workspace Courtyard Lounge OGS will be a culture of creative places, a world-renowned hotel, studios, co-working, homes, food and drink. The new hotel/studio/workspace building will provide a destination, establishing St. John’s as a new vibrant urban creative hub for Manchester and form an integral part of All Work & Social. The new creative hub will sit comfortably with the architecture of the studios and continue to tell the ongoing story of the Granada building.
The buildings are to be reconfigured to form a unique mixed-use destination comprising: - A new hotel/restaurant complex consisting of a ground floor reception and café/restaurant/bar areas with seven floors of hotel and a new rooftop bar/restaurant. - The rooftop of the existing and proposed buildings will be developed to create a series of external amenity spaces which will include terraces, bar areas and two heated outdoor swimming pools. - A new ten storey building will have two retail units at ground, four storeys of flexible workspace and residential units above. - ALL Studios: The original Granada television studios 2, 6, 8 and 12 will be retained to provide a unique suite of art, cultural and music venues, filming spaces and studio facilities. - Smaller workspaces will be created in a bespoke block formed from modular units at the entrance to the ‘M1’ corridor, this will be: CUBE SPACE.
